Summer Festival 2005

Celebrating One City, One World

As part of our Petertide celebrations this year, we have joined with our friends at the Broadway Cinema, both Universities and the City Council to create the "Celebrating One City, One World" Festival which is taking place across the entire City of Nottingham. Further details are available at www.nottinghamevents.org.

As explained in Andrew Deuchar's recent letter, the festival coincides with the meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council at Nottingham University between 18th and 29th June. St Peter's will be hosting the opening service of the meeting on Sunday 19 June at 3.30pm, during which, the new Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, Canon Kenneth Kearon will be formally welcomed to his post, following the retirement of Canon John Peterson. The Diocese will be holding a service of welcome to the ACC on Sunday 26 June at 10.30am at St Mary's, when the Archbishop of Canterbury will be the preacher.
