After performing in last year’s hugely successful Nottingham Finzi Festival, Peter Wilman makes a welcome return to Nottingham to perform arguably Schumann’s greatest song cycle, Dichterliebe and Quilter’s Seven Elizabethan lyrics.

East of England Singers
New Classical Players

The East of England Singers and the New Classical Players, directed by Angela Kay, will be performing a programme which includes Monteverdi’s Beatus Vir, Pergolesi’s Magnificat and Bach’s fifth Brandenburg concerto.

Martin Jacoby (piano)
Martin Jacoby, a talented young pianist from Nottingham, will be giving a solo piano recital. The programme will include Ravel’s Sonatine pour piano and Beethoven’s Sonata no. 23 in F minor (“Appassionata”).

Saturday 3rd February 2007

Schola Cantorum
Schola Cantorum, a choir of past and present choral scholars of St Barnabas’ Cathedral, directed by Neil Page, will be performing works connected with the feast of Candlemas. The programme will include Naylor’s epic Vox Dicentis and Britten’s Hymn to St Cecilia.
